AARON LEVENSON

Vocals, Guitars, Piano, Saxophone And Harmonica

Aaron was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, and first cut his teeth playing music by hitting notes loudly and incorrectly on his mom's piano. Saxophone and guitar soon followed, and a life-long love of music was born. He first became a Southerner when he moved to Bay Saint Louis, MS with his wife Allison in 2010; They planned to stay a few years and just never left.

Aaron was introduced to the local music scene by playing in the local '90s cover band Hello Newman and made the leap into songwriting in 2022 when he co-founded Crow The Culprit. He spent the bulk of the pandemic honing his piano skills and brushing up on his saxophone prowess, an instrument he's played since his school days.

His song "Pontchartrain" was a 2023 Mississippi Songwriter of the Year finalist and his song "Going South" was nominated in 2025. In addition to lending his playing and songwriting talents to the band, Aaron is also the band's sound and recording engineer and producer. He's sought after by regional bands and venues who are looking to get their live sound just right.

When he's not out playing or seeing live music, Aaron can be found racing sailboats on Mississippi Sound and beyond, coaching his boys' baseball teams or cheering them on at their basketball games and swim meets or enjoying a good bourbon at home.
